Bible Reading Plans

Connecting to God through Scripture

Whether you're looking for a new way to read the Bible or are reading the Bible for the first time, we've gathered a few Bible reading plans for you to choose from.

Some plans focus on the Old or New Testament, others have a daily reading that will take you through the Bible in one year. If you have questions or need us to print a copy of a plan, please contact us at 314.487.1730 or info@canaanstl.org.

One-Year Reading Plans

Read straight through the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation.
Each day of the week is dedicated to a genre—Epistles, the Law, History, Psalms, Poetry, Prophecy, and Gospels.
Read the Bible in the order the events occurred chronologically.
This plan attempts to follow the order in which the books were authored.
Four daily readings beginning in Genesis, Psalms, Matthew and Acts.
Read the New Testament on weekdays, and focus on reflection and other reading on weekends.
This plan doesn't use set daily readings. It has set books for each month, and set Proverbs and Psalms for each week.
Set your own pace as you read through the Bible. The minimalistic, beautifully designed chart tracks your reading.

Other Reading Plans

This two-year plan goes through the Old and New Testaments once, and Psalms & Proverbs four times.
This three-year plan goes one chapter at a time. Readings alternate between the Old and New Testaments.
