What's happening at Canaan

Easter Outreach Volunteers
March 20 and 27
We've got a bunch of different roles, so no matter your age or ability, we've got a place for you to serve. You can help with setup before an event, serve during an event, or help with cleanup after an event. Egg Express (March 20 at our future Mehlville campus) features outdoor guided tours that share the Gospel through drama. This event is where we need the most volunteers. Eggstravanza (March 27 in our Oakville campus Worship Center) features an illusionist. View volunteer roles and sign up using the links below.

Easter Outreach Support
Lots of guests at our Easter outreach events, means lots of eggs given away. That said, you can donate pre-filled eggs or items to assemble those eggs. Here's what we need:
  • Candy: Small candy fits best. No suckers, smarties,  large candies, or candies with nuts, please.
  • Plastic eggs: Yep. A bunch of empty plastic eggs.
  • Filled eggs: Want to fill your own eggs? Awesome! Candy, stickers, and fun erasers are great.
If you’re donating items, those need to be dropped off no later than March 7th. You can find collection bins are in the hallway to the left of the Worship Center.
Vision2025 – Saturate USA Canvass
March 6 at 10am
Vision2025 is what we believe God desires Canaan to look like as we passionately pursue God's calling for our unified church family. One of our goals is bringing the Gospel to every home in the 63129, 63128, and 63010 ZIP codes. Join us as we deliver packets that contain a multilingual, multimedia explanation of the Gospel to homes surrounding our future Mehlville campus. Sign up to join in.
Winning the War in Your Mind
A new 8-week study that begins March 7
Trying to think our way out of bad habits and unhealthy thought patterns can leave us stuck with an out-of-control mind and off-track daily life. Winning the War in Your Mind explores this daily battle against self-doubt and negative thinking and reveals strategies he's discovered to change your mind and your life for the long-term. In this 8-week study, you'll discover practical strategies from Scripture and the latest findings of brain science that will free you from the grip of harmful, destructive thinking and enable you to live the life of joy and peace that God intends you to live. Sign to up to join the class.
Baptism
We believe that baptism is an important step of obedience for every follower of Jesus. We see in the Bible that when someone believed the message of Jesus, confessed their sin and repented, their next step was being baptized. If you’ve made the decision to follow Jesus but have not been baptized, we invite you to follow the command of Jesus and go public with your faith. Learn more and sign up here.
Women's Ministry Winter Project
Our Women's Ministry winter project is a great way to support one of our local ministry partners. Year-round, Hand 'n Hand Pregnancy Help Center needs hats for newborns and preemies. You can join in by knitting or crocheting hats (tan and gray colors are best) or by using a 5" or 5.5" round loom (available at most craft stores and instructions are included) if you haven't knit or crocheted before. You can bring completed hats to our office through March 1. Questions? Contact Patti Klaverkamp, 314.681.0704.
Prayer Calendar
Prayer is  important to us because we see in the Bible how important prayer is to Jesus. To help us be praying together as a church family even if we’re not physically together, be sure to use our monthly prayer calendar. View the prayer calendar.
Social Media Course for Parents
Social media has become an integral part of our culture. It’s everywhere. And if kids aren’t taught by parents about social media, they’re going to learn it from somebody. That’s why we’re providing a totally free, super practical resource for raising your kids in a social media generation. It’s just 5 lessons long and covers things like how social media affects the brain and how to set healthy boundaries as a family. Check out it out on our Kids page.
